 New citizens of Ganderkesee receive a coupon for a free 3-month membership at the library. Bring the coupon and a valid registration card ("Meldezettel”), and ask for a New Citizens Card at the information desk.

To have a look at the newest items in our collection, go to "Advanced Search". You can search for acquisitions of the past days under “more search criteria”. Therefore fill in the box (1) with the number of days you’d like to review (e.g. 14).

Media type (2) lets you narrow the search down to physical or electronic media.

Furthermore, you can also filter for novels (Buch SL), audiobooks (CD-Literatur), movies, magazines, etc., by choosing the appropriate media group (3).

Click Search (4) to create a list of results.

Working on texts, charts, or presentations – our office PCs and laptops provide you with different possibilities.

Our two office PCs and two laptops are equipped with Libre Office packages and allow for b/w print. You can transfer and save data via USB-drive, DVD, or CD-ROM.

You may use the devices for free, but the prints come at a charge. You can reserve a workplace and PC/laptop in advance (Tel.: 04222 931424).

You can make b/w copies in DIN A4 and DIN A3. You can have a look at the fee here.

You can print your documents at the library via PC, tablet, or smartphone. There are b/w and color printers at your disposal.

Forgot your reading glasses? No problem – we’ve got you covered!

Since nobody can always remember everything, our reminder emails help you to keep your loan periods on track. We'll remind you to return your media items two days in advance. One less thing to worry about!

You can return media via our return box – even outside opening hours. Use the big blue return box at the entrance of the main library in Ganderkesee. Place the items in the flap. They will slide safely into the box and land on the upholstered carrier inside.

Guidelines:

The return box is solely for returning media you borrowed at the library. All items will be checked for return on the next opening day, making it the return date.

Please do not place parlor games, for they might get damaged in the process.

Please do not use the return box to make book donations.

Are you looking for a quiet place to work or study? We’ve got you covert!

Apart from 2 multimedia PC work stations, we offer 2 work desks in the adult section, and 3 in the student's center. You can also borrow a laptop or an iPad to work from the library.

You can ask us to transport media items between the different library branches. That way you can check out a book or DVD from Schierbrok in Bookholzberg – let the media come to you!

Gift a voucher – get a whole library. We'll gladly make out a library-voucher for you to gift to friends and family. At the redemption, the donee will receive a library membership for one year.
