Daycare workers can check out different picture books fit for reading on screen. If you would like to experience a picture book reading at the library with your daycare group, you can schedule an event.

Daycare workers can request a special membership card for institutions. The card is free and allows the owner to borrow media under special conditions.

A Kamishibai is used for telling stories. Consisting of a wooden frame and a door with two parts, it contains a story in pictures that are exchangeable. You pull out picture after picture, slowly revealing the next plot point while telling the story. The Kamishibai is fit for a small group of children who can watch the story unfold while listening to you.

With your institutional membership card, you can borrow the Kamishibai theatre and choose from a diverse selection of Kamishibai-picture-cards.

You can also ask to have a Kamishibai storytime at the library with your nursery group.

Do you need books and other media concerning a certain topic for your next kindergarten project? We will put together a media box fitting your needs.

We offer training and workshops for different methods of reading to children and senior citizens.
Our collection includes a wide range of books suitable for reading to others.
Voluntary readers can reserve books for their appointments free of charge.
We arrange for contacts with voluntary readers, who like reading to children, for day nurseries via the “Lesekiste”.
