Das Requiem in d-Moll K626 ist Mozarts letztes Werk und er sah ein böses Omen in dem geheimnisvollen Auftrag, der ihn veranlasste. Er starb 1791, bevor er das Stück vollendete. Bei diesem Live-Mitschnitt aus dem Herkulessaal in München dirigiert Sir Colin Davis den Sinfoniechor und das Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks mit den Solisten Edith Mathis (Sopran), Trudeliese Schmidt (Alt), Peter Schreier (Tenor) und Gwynne Howell (Bass).
